To all Gawler Central Tiger supporters, welcome to another season of football and netball – it was great to see the season started on Saturday. Thanks to the big crowd who attended at the Gawler Oval to show their support to the Tigers. Awesome effort!
It was congratulations also on reaching milestone games to Cass LeBusque – 100 junior games, 50 Junior Games – Sophie Warland, 100 Senior Games – Hayley Truscott and 50 Senior Games – Renata Heintze. Full results and coaches’ comment on all the games played are listed below.
The Kingsford Hotel Club Person of the Week is awarded to Craig LeBusque who has again been very busy quietly achieving, helping everyone with everything, there at the start and still at the end – love his enthusiasm and the generosity of his time – well done and thanks!
We all look forward now to round 2 and settling into the season, noting that due to the Easter break the next games are not being played until FRIDAY 25th April – YES, on the Public Holiday itself instead of the usual Saturday games, where we are hosting games in recognition and remembrance of the ANZAC’s. All supporters most welcome to venture to our home courts to cheer on the Tiger Gals against Willaston. Courtside action will still begin at 8.30am with our littlest of Tiger Gals – they’re so cute to watch; Senior One game to be played a little later and then followed by night football – another great day out not to miss!!
Usually during the 2nd school term we run the Net-Set-Go programme, for those new to netball aged 6-8. At this stage we are looking for anyone interested in assisting to run this programme either on a week night after school or on a Sunday morning. Please call Leanne for further information or if you would like to assist, on 0410 495 745.
Check out the Tiger Gals on Facebook.
Diary Dates: May 3rd playing up at Barossa then back home for presentations and Cocktail Night at the Club.
Thanks to our weekly award supporters for their generosity with the incentive awards provided: – Domino’s, Wohler’s, Fasta Pasta, Pizza Works, @Nourish and McDonalds.
