Back at home again on Saturday, it was a warm welcome to all of our Sponsor’s on our annual “Sponsor’s Day” as we played against Barossa. Sponsors play an important role in our club and we again extend a big thanks to them all for their ongoing support – it is most appreciated.

Back in the winning circle for most of our teams this week in another nice round of netball matches. All results are below. Congrats this week on 50 Junior games to both Taylah O’Reilly and Reese Griffiths – great effort for 2 so young! Senior 1 Gawler Central 61 defeated Barossa District 37 Pleasing win today. Everyone played their role for the team and great to have a better 2nd half as it’s something we have struggled with over past weeks. Award recipients: Tegan Young and Renee Schumacher

Senior 2 Barossa District 62 defeated Gawler Central 59 Very disappointing to lose after being up by 8 goals at 3rd quarter time. A lot to work on. Award recipients: Sophie Havlis and Erin Docherty

Senior 3 Barossa District 48 defeated Gawler Central 33 Great 2nd half – lots of work to do. Award recipients: Ainslee Knight and Ellen Cook

Senior 4 Gawler Central 45 defeated Barossa District 28 Slow start with Barossa putting up a tough hard fought game. GC settled in the last quarter coming away with a good win. Award recipients: Hayley Truscott and Laura Harris

Senior 5 Gawler Central 65 defeated Barossa District 31 Great win girls. Thank you Dayna for filling in & stepping up. We tried some new combo’s & it worked well. Good to be back winning again. Awards recipients: Dayna Schmid and Grace Asher

Senior 6 Gawler Central 51 defeated Barossa District 25 Very slow start in the first half, but we managed to get the passing target in the second half! Great game Tina, with plenty of intercepts all game. Award recipients: Nicolle Nicholls and Tina Pratt

Senior 7 Barossa District 49 defeated Gawler Central 31 A game that wasn’t the best display of our skills. Need to focus more on our passing and leading. Great shooting by our goalies tho! Award recipient Sammy Turner and Kayla Pike

Junior 1 Gawler Central 86 defeated Barossa District 20 Excellent game, so flexible swapping goalies for defenders and still shooting well. A great team game. Award recipients: Lilly Jefferys and Sophie Warland

Junior 2 Gawler Central 50 defeated Barossa District 17 A really good game by all girls, playing out of position for the most part. Great win. Award recipients: Angelina McDonald and Dani Cockburn
