Round 14 and the season is now well into the final third. Venturing over to South Gawler to play, another day without rain and just some morning fog to contend with instead – nothing like weather variety!! Our 2 junior sides continued on (convincingly undefeated) while the Senior 1 side game ended in an exciting draw. All results are below.

Congrats this week on 100 senior games to Amy Songer – top effort.

Ongoing thanks also to our regular weekly supporter’s for the girls ‘incentive awards’ :- Fasta Pasta, @Nourish, McDonalds, Super Cuts, Noodle Box, Starplex, Subway, Domino’s Pizza and Wohler’s.

Saturday night the club held its 125th Anniversary Dinner at Starplex, with 250+ in attendance it was great to reminisce over the Club’s history and see so many celebrating 125 years. Congratulations to the organising committee for a great night and all of their efforts in bringing the event together and again our big thanks to all who kindly donated goods and services for the Club Auction. Following the netball ‘On the Couch’ session with Graham Fischer, Alli King and hosted by Kelly Assender, the very first netballer was announced as an Inductee to the Club “Wall of Fame”. Players who played at the club during their junior years and then continue on to play at State or higher level are eligible for this club honour – one now proudly bestowed to Chelsea Lemke. Chelsea joined us a Club junior in 2007 showing remarkable talent back then by taking out Club and Association Best & Fairest awards, winning Club Junior Netballer of the Year and playing in country champ and regional academy teams. Then venturing on to play for Contax, Chelsea first played at State League level at age of 17 and continued on to shine participating in both State and Australian underage teams. We are proud to see Chelsea’s development and look forward to hearing and watching her progress even further as the years continue. Welcome to the Club “Wall of Fame”.

Next social events coming up is the not to miss event on August 9th – Player’s Revue Night @ the Club $20pp. Save this date and see Amy or Daniel soon for tickets. We venture up to Freeling to play this week – hope to see many out there supporting the Tiger Gals!
