Tiger Tales : 2016 1st Semi – 27 August
Saturday up at Willaston for the 1st semi-final started out with the prospect of being a great day for The Tiger gals with eight teams in contention to play on into the Preliminary final. Congrats to all of our teams and their coaches for being final contenders!

Excitingly our Senior Five, Six and Seven teams, all scored winning margins and will play again in 2 weeks’ time. For our Junior One, Junior Two and Inter Two’s, despite true Tiger Gal efforts they were just not strong enough in the end with all being defeated on the day. Similarly, our Senior Ones were just out-played to be defeated by Barossa in a nail-biter in a very tight tussle indeed – well done gals on never giving up – it was a great game to watch, albeit, none of us liked the end result, but heads held high, we will strive again next year!

We are all saddened this week at the passing of Di Lane. Our condolences are again extended to the Lane and Wenham families as we put our arm around them as a club.

On Tuesday night past we held our end of year presentation night for our Netta’s, Primary and Sub Junior netball teams. Thanks to all who attended making this a fun finale to the 2016 season for these little Tiger gals!

Big shout out and thanks to all the club’s volunteers who worked tirelessly on the weekend with catering for the football semi-final and also over the 2 days of the Gawler Show. Massive effort by so many and much appreciated.

Next up this coming weekend we have the 2nd semi-final where the Club will be represented in netball with the Senior 2’s (minor round Premiers) playing at 1.30pm versus Angaston, followed at 3pm by the Senior 3’s versus Barossa. Over on the oval the Club’ 3 football sides will play starting with the Senior Colts, followed by Reserves then the A’s. All supporters needed to encourage our teams to take out the wins to take them straight into the Grand final – hope to see you all out at Angaston to enjoy the action! After the games, the club will be open for teas – with lots to celebrate…. We hope!
