The Tiger gals were represented in Preliminary final played on the weekend over at South Gawler by 4 teams.

Our Inter 2’s played first versus Angaston, keeping everyone in suspense till the last seconds with an exciting 1 goal win. They now will play Nuriootpa at 9.30am in this week’s Grand final

Next up it was our super senior 7’s versus Willaston in a tightly contested game with lots of pressure applied over the whole court and many turnovers, however the final result fell to Willaston taking the win. Well done to all of our girls in a great effort, but just not quite getting there.

Senior 6’s were on next also versus Willaston and took the lead early on, building on it quarter by quarter scoring a fab winning margin 37 to 23 by game end and advancing into the Grand Final. They will play at 1.15 this week as also will our Senior 2 team who earned their Grand Final gig back when they won their semi-final.

To finish off the day, our Senior 5’s took on South Gawler in a game where there were only a few goals in it the entire time. Leading at each break, despite a last quarter effort from the Southies, our girls held on, kept their heads and took the win with a 42 to 40 score at game end. They will play Angaston at 2.45 in the Grand final this week now.

In hoping for some fine weather this coming Saturday it would be fab to see a big Tiger supporter group courtside, in attendance at the Grand final up at Nuriootpa to watch our teams battle out their respective premierships. After the games, it is back to our Club from 6pm for presentations and celebrations, one way or the other!

Association Presentation night was held on Saturday night with many Tiger gals up high on the voting tallys. Congrats to our Senior 1 dynamic defensive duo in Steph Noack and Alison Schahinger in being named part of the BLGNA Team of the Year – impressive achievement, well done! Further congrats to Shelby Smith on receiving the Senior 2 Netballer of the Year, to Sienna Haskard from Sub Junior 3 on receiving runner up Best & Fairest, as also did Keely Neville for the Inter 2 division, Rachel Bailey for Senior 7, Melissa Pywell for Senior 6, Casey Sharkey for Senior 5 and Alison Schahinger for Senior 1. Well done to each of you – fab efforts!
