It was cross bridge rivalry when we took on Willaston at home on Saturday with our senior teams taking part in the return of Netballer’s Day. We had a fabulous turn out both at the courts & back at the clubrooms, which was fantastic to see! Thank you to everyone that supported the day we hope to continue to build up the community vibe with the netball & football clubs.

Special shout out to Inter 1 player Sharni Assender who earned her first Senior 1 cap yesterday taking the court in the 1’s 16 goal win over Willaston. New to our club this year at just 15 years of age Sharni has been an absolute powerhouse playing GK in her Inter 1 side, already knocking up 4 best of courts in 6 games. Sharni came on at GD in the Senior 1 game & slotted in to the side incredibly well.

Kingsford Hotel club person of the week is awarded to Lisa-Marie Moloney who has worked tirelessly to fit out our players, committee members, coaches & supporters in our new merchandise! Everyone looks fantastic, thank you Lisa-Marie!

Also like to mention our Kingsford Hotel club person of the week from last week who was awarded to Ainslee Ey; not only our Records Officer but also a coach, umpire & player! Ainslee oversees our Net Set Go program on Friday afternoons & backs it up as one of the first at the courts on Saturday mornings & one of the last! Thank you for all your hard work Ainslee.
