It was a battle of the BLG Tigers when we took on Nuriootpa at home on Saturday. Our senior teams took the bragging rights with 6 out of 7 wins whilst Nuriootpa took control in the junior grades. Special mention to our Intermediate 2s and Sub Junior 2s who had great wins against tough opponents. This week we had our Senior 1 players mentoring our Inter, Junior & Sub-Junior teams; the girls went out to training on Tuesday night to do some specialist work & then were out helping them during their games on Saturday! We had a great response from all involved with our younger girls learning some great skills & tips from our Senior 1 players. Thanks to everyone involved in organising this initiative, hopefully we can get this set up as a more regular occurrence next year!

There’s only one more home game left for the season so we hope to see plenty of people out when we take on Angaston in 2 weeks time. Nixon Centre will be hosting our last home game awards & dinners so why not head over there to celebrate our last home game.

Kingsford Hotel club person of the week goes to Craig Haskard; Craig goes down to clean the courts on Friday nights ready for home games, cooks the morning BBQ whenever we’re short people & always offering to help out where he can. Thanks Craig!

Thank you also to our weekly award supporters for their generosity with the incentive awards provided – Kingsford Hotel, Wohler’s, Anytime Fitness, Supercuts, Exchange Hotel, Gawler Newsagency, Gawler Cinema, Fasta Pasta, Starplex, Dominos, McDonalds

Each week the Gawler Central Football Club kindly donates 2 awards for the best player in 2 teams from the day; this week awards went to Sophie Burnett from Senior 3s & Jenny Finlay from Senior 4s. Thank you to the GCFC for donating this award each week!
