It was our last home game for the year on Saturday hosting Angaston in lovely winter netball conditions. There is so much work that goes behind the scenes to ensure our Tiger girls can enjoy playing on court every Saturday. So thank you to all the volunteers who have helped us host 8 successful home games this year. Without your help we wouldn’t have clean courts/club rooms, a functioning canteen, a yummy BBQ, anyone to umpire/score/time or primary care our games! It takes a full team effort to make these days happen!

Hopefully everyone received a copy of our Club Newsletter on Saturday, if not this will be distributed to you via email during the week.
Plenty of important dates to put in the calendar;
Junior Presentation Day – Sunday 18th August from 2pm to 5pm @ the main clubrooms
Intermediate Presentation Dinner – Tuesday 17th September 6pm @ the Kingsford Hotel
Senior Presentation Night – Friday 20th September @ the Nixon Centre

Next week we head to Williamstown for our last minor round game of the year. We can only hope the conditions this year are kinder to us than when we played their last time for those remember (not easy to forget). After the game we’ve got our last social club event for the year – Karaoke night! The club will be open from 6.30pm so once you’ve defrosted make sure you head down for what should be a fantastic night. Not keen on singing? Or not a good singer? Doesn’t matter! We’d love to see everyone there.

It’s been the year of big milestone games for our Tiger girls with another one this week. Congratulations to Elise Hillebrand on playing her 250th club game yesterday in her Senior 3 teams 12 goal win. 250 games is a great achievement – well done Elise! We also had Senior 7 player Kate Lilly & Inter 1 player Sharni Assender play their 50th club games too, congratulations girls!

Kingsford Hotel club person of the week goes to Sue Lawns for all your help on numerous occasions setting up & serving in the canteen early on Saturday mornings. Our other Kingsford Hotel club person of the week went to Rhiannon Norton for her work behind the scenes with our social media/media role this year.

Thank you also to our weekly award supporters for their generosity with the incentive awards provided – Kingsford Hotel, Wohler’s, Anytime Fitness, Gawler Newsagency, Java Hut, Exchange Hotel, Gawler Cinema, Starplex, McDonalds, Fasta Pasta, Gawler South Bakery, Dominos

Each week the Gawler Central Football Club kindly donates 2 awards for the best player in 2 teams from the day; this week awards went to Bonnie Morrow from Senior 2s & Grace Would from Senior 3s. Thank you to the GCFC for donating this award each week!

Our social club committee is currently in full swing organizing our GCNC Senior Netball Trip for this year. We’ve created private Facebook events for both our accommodation & day trip options. If you’re interested in attending either please contact any of our social club committee members – the more the merrier everyone is welcome!
