Gawler Central Netball Club was established in 1987 when the Barossa & Light and Gawler & District Football Associations amalgamated. Netball and football then started being played at the same venues, by co-existing codes under the one club umbrella and over the years the netball Association has become known as Barossa, Light & Gawler Netball Association (BLGNA), of which 9 clubs are now members.
During this time the club has undergone significant change and is now well placed to be part of a growing Gawler region. Over the years we have enjoyed many successes and the club proudly places all teams in both Junior and Senior Divisions and encourages families to be involved across all sports associated with the club.
The Gawler Central Sporting Club Inc (established as the Football Club in 1889) covers sports of Netball, Football and Cricket.
Our total sporting club concept, allows you to show your support of the club through our Tiger Card promotion. Tiger Cards are issued to all players plus the cards are also available to supporters who apply for club membership. The cards provide holders with significant benefits from various supporting businesses around Gawler. The full list of these benefits is available on this website as are application forms for club membership.
Where/when do we play?
The BLGNA annual competition is played on Saturday’s over the months of April-September, starting with the young juniors at 8.30am through to senior games played in the afternoons, last ones starting at 3pm.
